Garrett Reid back in prison

Garrett Reid, the eldest son of Eagles coach Andy Reid, was sent to Graterford Prison after being involved in an altercation at a halfway house, his attorney told The Philadelphia Inquirer.

"Given the limited amount of information I have, I am very concerned about Garrett and his future situation," said Timothy Woodward, Reid's attorney.

Reid, 26, had been at the Luzerne Treatment Center in Hunting Park. He was referred to a state corrections program for drug treatment after he pleaded guilty to smuggling drugs into the Montgomery County Jail.

In January 2007, Reid, ran a red light in Plymouth Township and seriously injured a woman while under the influence of heroin.

UPDATE: Reid failed a drug test.

"The preliminary information we received [was] . . . when he returned to the facility, he tested positive for some narcotic," District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said.
