Thibodeau will meet with Sixers

The Sixers have confirmed that Boston Celtics Associate Head Coach Tom Thibodeau will speak with the team about its head coaching position. Make no mistake, Thibodeau, a defensive whiz, is a better option than Eddie Jordan.

Thibodeau, who just completed his second season with the Celtics, has coached teams that have been in the top 10 in team defense 15 times in 19 seasons. Prior to joining the Celtics, Thibodeau helped the Houston Rockets rank among the top five in the NBA in scoring defense and field goal percentage defense in his four seasons there.

Thibodeau served as an assistant coach under John Lucas with the Sixers during the 1994-95 season.
