(The Phanatic Magazine) - The Philadelphia Flyers dealt defenseman Denis Gauthier and a second-round pick in the 2010 draft to the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for two prospects.
Gauthier spent last season with the Philadelphia Phantoms in the American Hockey League, picking up three goals and 18 points in 78 games. The 31-year- old hard-hitting backliner last played in the NHL with the Flyers in 2006-07, recording four assists and 45 penalty minutes in 43 contests.
The Montreal native has compiled 15 goals, 73 points and 658 penalty minutes in 489 games with Calgary, Phoenix and Philadelphia.
The Flyers received defenseman Patrik Hersley and forward Ned Lukacevic. Hersley split last season between the Kings' AHL and ECHL affiliates, while Lukacevic spent the entire season in the ECHL with the Reading Royals.
