The Philadelphia 76ers revealed that center Samuel Dalembert has suffered a stress fracture in his left foot.
The injury was diagnosed after an MRI taken at Main Line Diagnostic Imaging in Bryn Mawr, Penn. Dalembert was initially placed in a protective boot before being fitted for a hard cast that he will wear for the next three weeks.
Dalembert is expected to be ready for the start of Sixers training camp, which takes place at Duke University beginning October 2.
"We will closely monitor Sam's status over the next three weeks, but we anticipate that he will be ready to return to the court in time for the start of training camp," said Sixers president Billy King.
