The 51-year-old Wade was fired two years ago after eight straight non-playoff seasons with the Fightins'.
Wade was often ripped for giving out big-money, long-term contracts to players like Pat Burrell and Mile Lieberthal. But, the foundation of this Phillies team -- Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Brett Myers and Cole Hamels -- were all brought to the organization during Wade's watch.
