Boxing returns to the Spectrum

Promoters from Power Productions along with Jackie Frazier, daughter of Joe Frazier, and former Heavyweight Champion Tim Witherspoon today announced live professional boxing, co-featuring a Heavyweight showdown and a Light Heavyweight Pennsylvania State Championship match between local area fighters at the Wachovia Spectrum on Friday, October 19 at 7 p.m.

Tickets to Championship Boxing at $35, $45, $55, $65 and $100 go on sale Thursday, September 20 at 10 a.m. exclusively via ComcastTIX.com, 1-800-298-4200, and the Wachovia Complex Box Office.

"This night promises to bring some of the most exciting boxing you will see in the country at one of the most historic boxing venues," said Greg Robinson of Power Productions. "This card features the best fighters in the Philadelphia area who will do whatever it takes to win and entertain all fans in attendance."

The Heavyweight main event features Dave Brunelli (8-2) from North East Philadelphia battling Salem, NJ native Mark "Oak Tree" Brown (9-1). In the co-feature, Trenton's Chuckie "The Italian Assassin" Cavallo (17-0) returns to the Wachovia Spectrum to defend his unbeaten record against Richie Stewart (14-4) from New Castle, DE for the Light Heavyweight Pennsylvania State Championship.

Produced by Power Productions, KO Fightz, and Sports Extreme, Championship Boxing will also feature two martial arts grappling fights, and special guest appearances by UFC Superstar Andrei "Pit Bull" Arlovski, former Heavyweight Champion Tim Witherspoon, and TV/Movie Star Frank Stallone. Also appearing on the fight card are Chris Pyfer, Dan "Bad Bing" Biddle, Tim Carpenter, Brian Cohen, and Tommy Pyfer.
