Ryan Howard spoke up about his struggles to start the season, as did hitting coach Milt Thompson, manager Charlie Manuel and even general manager Pat Gillick.
The answer appears to be that there isn't just one answer.
In a piece in the Daily News, Howard attributed his slump partly to some nagging injuries, and also admitted that he may be pressing at the plate.
Manuel, Thompson and Gillick all have their own unique rationales.
