The Philadelphia Phillies optioned pitchers Eude Brito and Fabio Castro to minor league camp before the team's Grapefruit League game against the New York Yankees on Monday.
The team also reassigned third baseman Brennan King and catcher Dusty Wathan, both non-roster invitees, to minor league camp.
The Phillies also informed infielder Brent Abernathy, right-hander Joe Bisenius and outfielder Ron Calloway that they would not make the opening day roster but will accompany the club to Philadelphia for the weekend on-deck series against the Boston Red Sox.
In another roster move, catcher Jason Jaramillo has returned to major league camp after previously being re-assigned to minor league camp on March 12.
