Well captain Peter Forsberg is out again, this time he is hampered by a right groin injury and will miss up to a week.
The Swedish superstar has had no luck with his health this season. His latest problem knocked him out of Tuesday night's 3-2 victory over the New York Islanders following the first period.
His right ankle problem forced Forsberg to miss four consecutive games in December, until he found a good skate after working with foot experts at Temple University and officials from a hockey equipment company in Canada.
The 33-year-old returned to the Flyers lineup on December 16 at Washington, but he promptly suffered a concussion and missed the next three games.
Forsberg missed 22 games during the 2005-06 season, his first in Philadelphia,21 due to groin-related injuries that were caused by the problems with his foot.
Philadelphia is just 0-9-3 when Forsberg is not in the lineup.
He returned for the Flyers 3-1 loss in Florida on December 27, but he then posted consecutive three-assist games in Philadelphia's previous two contests, both wins following the club's franchise-record 10-game losing streak.
The Flyers current three-game winning streak is the longest this season thus far for the Flyers, who are in the basement of the NHL with just 26 points, five points behind the Blues for the dubious honor.
