Connor returning to Penn State for senior season

By Jared Trexler

Penn State linebacker Dan Connor announced he is returning for his senior season late Friday afternoon. Connor will team with Sean Lee to keep the tradition of Linebacker "U" alive. The All-American finished second on the club in tackles (113) , including 10 takedowns and a forced fumble in the Outback Bowl victory against Tennessee.

Connor's decision to return helps offset defensive losses to graduation. Sack leader Jay Alford, first team All-American linebacker Paul Posluszny and defensive end Tim Shaw all will head to the NFL after successful collegiate careers.

In 2007, Joe Paterno will return 15 starters from a 9-4 squad this season.
