Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia Flyers Wives today named Hollywood movie star and former Philadelphia-resident Sylvester Stallone as Honorary Chair of the 30th anniversary Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival, coming to Wachovia Center on Sunday, February 25. Stallone is also celebrating the 30th anniversary of the first "Rocky" Movie.

"This provides us with the perfect one-two punch," said Comcast-Spectacor Foundation Senior Vice President Mary Ann Saleski. "Sylvester Stallone is an icon who will always be associated with the great City of Philadelphia and we think this is a wonderful partnership that will help us in our efforts to give back to the community in a significant way.

"When we realized that we were both celebrating our 30th anniversaries this year, we couldn't think of a better person to help us elevate the Carnival to new and exciting heights."

As Honorary Chair, Stallone will help the Comcast-Spectacor Foundation generate additional awareness for the Carnival, the largest fundraiser of the year for the Foundation, as well as assist the company in obtaining unique items for the Carnival's auction.

Tickets to attend the 30th anniversary Flyers Wives Fight for Lives Carnival are $17 (adults) and $12 (children under 12) and now on sale exclusively through ComcastTIX.com, 1-800-298-4200, select Acme Markets and at the Wachovia Complex box office.
