Union reveal protected list for MLS Expansion Draft

Philadelphia Union revealed today the list of eleven players that will be ineligible for selection during MLS Expansion Draft 2010 on Wednesday, November 24, 2010.  Additionally, Union’s youngsters Jack McInerney, Danny Mwanga and Amobi Okugo will also be left out of the unprotected list as Generation Adidas players cannot be drafted. 

With a total of fourteen exempted players from selection (eleven protected players plus three Generation adidas), only eleven Union members will be available on Wednesday, when Portland and Vancouver continue to fill up their rosters.  Consisting of five defenders, five midfielders and a forward, Philadelphia Union’s protected list includes defenders Danny Califf, Jordan Harvey, Michael Orozco Fiscal, Juan Diego Gonzalez and Sheanon Williams, midfielders Justin Mapp, Toni Stahl, Roger Torres, Kyle Nakazawa and newly signed Brian Carroll, as well as forward and best XI honoree Sebastien Le Toux.
