The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that 5’11”, 179-pound left wing Eric Wellwood has been recalled from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, on emergency conditions.
Wellwood will be available to make his NHL debut tonight when the Flyers host the Carolina Hurricanes.
Wellwood, 20 (3-6-1990), has scored three goals and added an assist in 11 games for the Phantoms this season. The native of Windsor, Ontario was selected by the Flyers in the sixth round (172nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
