The Flyers have recalled left wing Eric Wellwood from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms.
Wellwood, 20 , will join the Flyers for the second time this season. He was previously recalled on November 1 and made his NHL debut that night against Carolina. He appeared in three games for the Flyers, picking up his first NHL point on an assist on Nov. 6 at the New York Islanders.
Wellwood has five goals and three assists for eight points in 17 games for the Phantoms this season. The native of Windsor, Ontario was selected by the Flyers in the sixth round (172nd overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
