Sixers throwing B-Day party for Hip-Hop

The Philadelphia 76ers will throw an unforgettable birthday bash for the hip-hoppin’, slam dunkin’, hare raisin’ one-of-a-kind mascot throughout the game at the Wachovia Center when the Sixers host the Toronto Raptors on Saturday, April 3 at 1 p.m.

The party tips-off when the first 5,000 kids 12 years of age and under receive a Growth Chart featuring Hip-Hop, courtesy of Doc Bresler’s Cavity Busters and a box of PEEPS, courtesy of Just Born, as they enter the Wachovia Center.

All kids in attendance are invited to attend Hip-Hop’s party in the 11th street Atrium at halftime where they will sing “Happy Birthday” to Hip-Hop and receive a special party favor. Hip-Hop and the Hare Raisers will sign autographs and take pictures for everyone.

Hip-Hop's friends that will be joining him at the game include University of Pennsylvania mascot Quaker, Kixx mascot SoccerRoo, the Temple Owl, Sahara Sam, Red Robin, Lancaster Lightning and many others. Throughout the game, the visiting mascots will join in the celebration by participating in various in-arena activities during breaks in the game.

Additionally, fans will have the opportunity to purchase one Sixers jersey and receive another one for free at any Fan Gear location in honor of Hip-Hop’s birthday.

Starting at $59, Sixers Family Packs including four tickets, four hot dogs and four sodas are available for all remaining home games exclusively through ComcastTIX at SIXERS.COM or by calling 215-339-7676

Both the Philadelphia 76ers and the Philadelphia Phillies will be in action at the Complex on Saturday, April 3. As a result, Comcast-Spectacor and the Phillies are encouraging fans to arrive earlier than usual, to take alternate routes to the Complex or to use SEPTA’s Broad Street Line when traveling to either game.
