Tom Heckert has agreed to become the new general manger of the Cleveland Browns.
Heckert, who has been with the Eagles since 2002 and been their GM since 2006, rose from the pro personnel department for a team that won four NFC East titles and went to one Super Bowl.
The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Eagles vice president of player personnel Howie Roseman is in line to replace Heckert as general manager, citing a team source.
Like in Philadelphia, where Andy Reid has the final say on all personnel matters, Heckert will be just a figurehead in Cleveland, where Mike Holmgren will call the shots.
