Rollins almost ready to return

Jimmy Rollins, recovering from a badly sprained left ankle, went 2-for-4 with a solo homer in an extended spring game against the New York Yankees Tuesday.

The reigning NL MVP is 6-for-8 with a homer, three doubles and four RBIs in two extended spring training games.

“It’s 90 percent, but it doesn’t bother me,” Rollins told the Associated Press. “You warm it up, then cool it down, but you know it’s there. It isn’t the ligament, but where the bones kind of rub. But that is now problem because I have had that before in different parts of my body."

Rollins is set is to play for Clearwater of the Florida State League on Wednesday and the Phillies want him to play one more rehab game after that.
