(The Phanatic Magazine) - Kensington's Eddie Alvarez defeated Joachim Hansen by unanimous decision in the Dream light grand prix quarterfinals at the at the Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan on Sunday.
There was a lot of give-and-take between the fighters in a fast-paced bout that was well received by the fans.
Alvarez decked Hansen early and avoided a number of submission attempts late en route to the win.
"Eddie, you're the toughest man I've ever fought," Hansen said after the fight.
"It takes two people to put on a fight like this, so I think we're both winners," Alvarez added.
