The Philadelphia 76ers will host the Sixers Beach Bash on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007 from 4 - 7 p.m. at La Costa Lounge in Sea Isle, N.J. Sixers forward Shavlik Randolph will be joining in the festivities along with the Sixers Dancers and Philadelphia media members. The Sixers Beach Bash had been a staple for the Sixers summertime events for nearly a decade and makes its return to the Jersey shore after a two-year hiatus. The event is free and open to the public.

Fans will have the opportunity to meet the Dancers as well as get autographs and take pictures with the girls. The 2007-08 Sixers Dancers were chosen from a group of 150 hopefuls in the first round of auditions. The girls were then pared down to 30 and now stand at the final sixteen members.

The bash will be co-hosted by Sixers Public Address Announcer Matt Cord and CBS-3’s Traffic Reporter Bob Kelly. Philadelphia media members will be serving as guest bartenders inside the Lounge throughout the event. Scheduled to attend are Hugh Douglas, Big Daddy Graham and Paul Jolovitz from 610-WIP, Sixers TV Play-By-Play Announcer Marc Zumoff, Sixers Radio Broadcaster Tom McGinnis, Comcast SportsNet’s Neil Hartman, 100.3 The Beat’s Pooch, Megan Stecher from the CW-Philly and many more.

The Beach Bash, benefiting Sixers Charities, will have a silent auction that will include gift certificates from local businesses, authentic and autographed Sixers team merchandise, NBA and NFL branded merchandise, and other prizes. The event will also include carnival games, inflatable activities for kids and the Sixers Yard Sale.
