Andy Reid updates Birds' injury situation; Moats & McDougle done for season

RG Shawn Andrews: “He’s making progress on his ankle. He will not play this week. We’ll see how he does next week.”

TE L.J. Smith: “He’s still recovering from his groin strain. He most likely won’t play this Friday.”

QB Kelly Holcomb: “Suffered a contusion on his left knee. With Donovan’s return, this week was Kelly’s week off in the quarterback rotation, anyway.”

DE Jerome McDougle: “Suffered a significant right triceps injury and looks like he’s out for the year. We’ll update his status in the near future”

RB Ryan Moats: “He has a left ankle fracture. Surgery on that ankle is pending. He will likely miss the 2007 season.”

DT LaJuan Ramsey: “He has right high ankle sprain. He will miss this week and we’ll see from there.”

LB Craig Kobel: “Was diagnosed with a sports hernia and has been given some treatment options. We will decide early next week what course of action we will take.”

OL Stefan Rodgers: “Suffered a right lis franc sprain vs. the Ravens. He’s seeing an ankle specialist today. He will undergo season-ending surgery.”

WR Bill Sampy: “He’s getting better with his quad contusion.”

Returning to practice Wednesday were S Brian Dawkins, CB Dustin Fox, DT Montae Reagor, LB Dedrick Roper, DT Ian Scott, and CB Lito Sheppard. - “We’ll see how they practice and determine their playing status later in the week.”
