Former Rutgers star to play in Hungary

Guard Marquis Webb, who scored 1,026 career points at Rutgers, has signed to play for Dombovar of Hungary’s A Division.

Webb (6-5, 205) ranks ninth all-time at Rutgers in career assists (305), 12th in career free throw percentage (.785), tied for 14th in career steals (117) and 33rd in career points. He earned the team’s Frank Hill Award, presented for exceptional loyalty and leadership, after his senior campaign.

Webb averaged 10.1 points per game in 2006-07 to become the 35th player in Rutgers history to reach the century mark. In total, he competed in 124 career games (121 starts) and logged 4,105 minutes, to average 33.1 minutes played for his career.
