Temple's Adrian Robinson named MAC Specialist of the Week

CLEVELAND (10/18/10) - Temple junior DE Adrian Robinson (Harrisburg, Pa.) has earned the Mid-American Conference Specialist of the Week honor for the East division, the MAC announced on Monday.

In Saturday's 28-27 win over Bowling Green, Robinson blocked BGSU's PAT attempt on the team's first touchdown. That missed PAT was the difference in the game, forcing the Falcons to opt for a two-point conversion on the game's final play.

The defensive block was his second this season as he blocked a punt at Northern Illinois.

Robinson finished the game with two solo tackles, a 14-yard sack, and the PAT block.

A starter in all seven games at defensive end, Robinson also plays on the punt return and PAT/field goal defense units. He has 25 tackles, three TFL, two sacks, two fumble recoveries, and two blocks.

The MAC honor is the first of Robinson's career. He is the sixth Owl to earn conference recognition this fall, joining sophomore PK Brandon McManus (Sept. 6), junior DT Muhammad Wilkerson (Sept. 13), sophomore RB Bernard Pierce (Sept. 20), senior DB Jaiquawn Jarrett (Sept. 27), and RB Matt Brown
(Oct. 3).

Temple (5-2, 2-1 MAC) travels to Buffalo (2-4, 1-1) on Saturday, Oct. 23 for a Noon game at UB Stadium. ESPN Plus/GamePlan/espn3.com will televise the game nationally (shown locally on 6ABC).
