Sixers get first preseason win

Marreese Speights scored 19 points on 7-of-10 shooting, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 103-92 victory over the Boston Celtics in preseason action at the Wells Fargo Center.

Lou Williams added 16 points on 5-of-6 shooting off the bench, while Jrue Holiday and Jason Kapono each had 12 for the Sixers, who won their first game this preseason in four attempts.

Andre Iguodala, Thaddeus Young and Andres Nocioni each had 10 in the win.

Nate Robinson had a game-high 26 points to pace the Celtics, who lost for the first time this preseason in four games, although they played without Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, Shaquille O'Neal, Paul Pierce and Rajon Rondo.


Sixers center Spencer Hawes sat out with a balky back.
