Geoff Mosher of the Wilmington News Journal is reporting that tight end Alex Smith won't be back with the Eagles, according to his agent Drew Rosenhaus.
Smith, who spent last season with the team, won't be offered a tender and is free to sign with any team on March 5, when free agency begins.
The Eagles signed Smith in September after rookie Cornelius Ingram went down with a torn knee ligament and after the team released veteran Matt Schobel.
