ESPN's Sal Paolantonio is reporting that Eagles expect a ruling on Michael Vick's reinstatement by Saturday.
However, NFL spokesman Greg Aiello declined to comment to the Philadelphia Inquirer on the report.
"I don't know when the commissioner will make his decision," Aiello said. "He hasn't told me yet."
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell conditionally reinstated Vick following the quarterback's release from prison after an 18-month term on federal dogfighting charges, but the commissioner reserved the right to delay full reinstatement until Week 6 of the regular season, something that would effect the Eagles roster situation.
If Vick remains sidelined, the Eagles would place him on the reserve/suspended list. He would not be allowed to practice or count against the 53-man roster limit, meaning A.J. Feeley would have to stick around as the third quarterback.
If Goodell ends Vick's suspension after two regular-season games, which some news outlets are reporting, the Eagles might be comfortable enough to deal Feeley and risk carrying just Donovan McNabb and Kevin Kolb for two weeks.
