PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia Soul have announced the inaugural “Spring Band Jam” set for Saturday, April 27 at the Wells Fargo Center immediately following the Soul game. The Soul game kicks off at 7pm and Spring Jam is expected to begin at approximately 10pm.
Soul Spring Band Jam will showcase two of the nation’s best marching bands from Pennsylvania’s oldest HBCU’s performing and competing against each other. The bands include Cheyney University “Soulful Sound” Marching Band under the Direction of Pro. Alan Gardner and Lincoln University “Orange Crush” Roaring Lions Marching Band under the Direction of Pro. H. Wade Johnson. This year’s coordinator of the Spring Band Jam is Chevis Anderson, Philadelphia Soul’s Manager of Bands.
“Spring Jam is going to be an incredible display of musical talent and a can’t-miss event for music enthusiasts,” said Soul Vice President and COO John Adams. “If you have seen these bands in action, you know the show they put on. If you have not, it is something you will not want to miss.”
Tickets for this event start at just $18 and include access to both the Soul Spring Jam as well as the Soul game vs. the Jacksonville Sharks. Kickoff for the Soul game is at 7:00pm.
