PHILADELPHIA – PHL17, the home of the Phillies, announced that Monday's 2013 Season Opener, 1 7-5 loss to the Atlanta Braves, achieved a record-breaking household rating for an Opening Day regular season telecast.
In Nielsen ratings, Monday's game averaged an 11.5 household rating, which is the highest Opening Day rating in the last 17 years. The broadcast was also the number one rated program in the Philadelphia market. Throughout each quarter hour of the broadcast, an average of 339,170 homes tuned in to watch the first game of the 2013 Phillies season.
