The Philadelphia 76ers announced their television broadcast schedule for the 2010-11 season, with broadcast partner Comcast SportsNet carrying 73 games, while The Comcast Network picks up another eight telecasts, all of 81 of which will be available in High Definition The only regular season game not to be covered by either network will be the December 9, 2010 home game against the Boston Celtics, which will air on TNT.
December’s game against the Celtics is one of five nationally televised appearances the Sixers will make this upcoming season. The other four games will air on NBA TV (which is blacked out within 75 miles of the team’s home market – those games will be carried on Comcast SportsNet).
Additionally, Comcast SportsNet will air both of the Sixers pre-season home games at Wells Fargo Center on Oct. 12 vs. Boston and Oct. 20 in the pre-season finale vs. the New York Knicks.
All regular season games carried by Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network are available in high definition. Each of the home games with a 7 p.m. start time will we preceded by a half-hour pregame show and “Sixers Postgame Live” will air immediately following every game televised by Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network.
The Comcast Network is host to eight of the Sixers road games, including January 20 against Larry Brown and the Charlotte Bobcats and April 5 against the defending Eastern Conference Champion Celtics.
