New main event for Locked in the Cage card

PHILADELPHIA - The previously announced Wilson Reis vs Farkhad Sharipov fight has been scratched for Thursday night's Locked in the Cage event and the promotion has put together a new main event featuring
Williamsport's  Lewis "The Beast" Rumsey (5-5)  against Gemiyale "Baby Hercules" Adkins (6-2).

Baby Herc will be looking to put a stop to a two fight losing streak that saw him on the wrong side of decisions to Levon Maynard and Jay Silva.  A victory over Rumsey will propel the former Delaware state wrestling champion back into the Middleweight division lime light.  For Rumsey, a win over Adkins will put him above .500 for the first time in his career, and boldly announce a true turning point in his career.

Elevated into the semi-main journeyman brawler John "Iron Bull" Doyle (9-17) will test MMA newcomer Kyle Cerminara (1-0).  Cerminara enters the sport with pristine wrestling credentials that include US Olympic Team Alternate and current University of Pennsylvania assistant wrestling coach.  Not to mention that in mid-July the 28 year old MMA greenhorn won Bellator's open try-outs at Daddis Fight Camps' Cherry Hill gym.  It will not be long before this world class wrestler is fighting under the big lights.

One of Philadelphia's top trainers steps back into the cage as Tuan "Kid Thunder" Pham (3-4) looks to level his professional record against Ft. Wayne's Brandon Inskeep (4-6).  Tuan began rebuilding after a difficult 2010 with a victory in February over Kurt Calash.  A win over Inskeep could be what propels Pham back into the upper echelons of the 135 Lbs division.

To open the professional card, Joey Gambino (6-0) puts his undefeated record on the line against Sylvain Bynum (4-2).  Gambino has never gone to the judges' cards as a professional notching 3 submission victories and 3 TKO wins.  Bynum has never been past the first fifteen seconds of the second round, adding 2 submission and 2 TKO wins of his own.  Putting these two finishers in the cage together is an electric way to begin the pro card.

In the amateur featured fight, the Locked in the Cage 145 Lbs title is on the line as Ryan Cafaro (2-2) steps in against Alex Davydov (4-0).  Bruce Fennimore (1-0) steps back in coming off his Locked in the Cage 8 TKO victory to take on Robert Fitzgerald (0-1) in a heavyweight tilt.  And former Division 1 wrestler and 2 time state champion Luke Siler (3-0-1) will return after a four year hiatus when he steps in against New York's Alfred Alo (1-2).

Locked in the Cage: Thursday Night Fights 2 happens on August 4th from the historic South Philly Arena (formerly: ECW Arena) at the corner of Swanson & Ritner Streets.  Doors open at 7:00 PM and tickets start at just $40.  For more information visit www.lockedinthecage.com.
