Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson collapsed during a line drill at training camp and seemed to be convulsing before being taken to the hospital
He was, however, conscious and moving his arms before the ambulance arrived on the field.
UPDATE: Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio, citing a source with knowledge of the situation, is reporting that Patterson has been sending text messages from the hospital saying he is fine and his doctors believe dehydration is what caused him to collapse on the field.
UPDATE II: Mike Patterson is alert, doing well, and not in any pain," his agent J.R. Rickert wrote on Twitter. "Thank you to everyone for your prayers and concerns."
