Despite the weak economy, Lesnar-Coture drew 14,274 fans at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, paying $4.8 million.
MMAjunkie.com reports that the $4.8 million figure is the fourth largest in UFC history.
Pre-fight pay-per-view projections were 600,000 to 700,000.
For comparison, the recent Bernard Hopkins-Kelly Pavlick fight is clocking in at around 250,000 while Joe Calzaghe-Roy Jones will be under that.
