Flyers recall Ross

The Philadelphia Flyers announced today that they have recalled forward Jared
Ross from their American Hockey League affiliate, the Philadelphia Phantoms. in time for the team's game vs. the Montreal Canadiens game at
Bell Centre tonight.

Ross, 26,
was scoreless in three games for the Flyers this season. He has recorded eight
points (5G,3A) and four penalty minutes in five games for the Phantoms this
season. He is tied for second on the team in goals with five. He registered 23
goals and 39 assists for 62 points and 56 penalty minutes in 67 games for the
Phantoms last season. His 39 assists and 62 points led the
Phantoms.

In 93 regular season games for the Phantoms over the
last three seasons (2006-07 through 2008-09), Ross has registered 32 goals and
52 assists for 84 points and 66 penalty minutes. Over parts of the last four
seasons with the Chicago Wolves (2005-06 and 2006-07) and the Phantoms, Ross has
posted 136 points (49G,87A) and 117 penalty minutes in 196 AHL regular season
games.

A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Ross turned professional
at the conclusion of his senior season with the University of Alabama-Huntsville
Chargers (2004-05). In four seasons with the Chargers (2001-02 through 2004-05),
Ross recorded 72 goals and 86 assists for 158 points and 137 penalty minutes in
133 games. His 72 goals and 86 assists rank third on the Chargers' All-Time
List, while his 158 points rank second on the Chargers' All-Time
List.

He was signed as a free agent by the Flyers on April 8,
2008.
