FOXSports.com is reporting that the Phillies have signed utility man Pete Orr to a minor-league contract.
Orr is a career .260 hitter in the big leagues, playing in 347 games with Atlanta and Washington from 2005 through 2009.
He spent this past season at Triple-A Syracuse in the Washington organization, batting .264 with 12 home runs and 45 RBIs in 137 games. He played six positions – second base, third base, shortstop and all the outfield spots.
