The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired defenseman Danny Syvret and prospect forward Rob Bordson from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for forwards Pat Maroon and David Laliberte.
Maroon was the Phantoms' leading scorer through eight games before being dismissed in late October for what the organization called "behavioral issues" and "attitude problems." Laliberte got a cup of coffee with the Flyers early last season, picking up two goals and three points in 11 games.
Syvret, who tallied the Flyers' lone goal in the 2010 Winter Classic at Fenway Park last January 1, saw his season end due to a Grade 3 shoulder separation. The club allowed him to leave as a free agent at the end of the season, and the Ducks signed him to a one-year deal this Summer.
The 25-year-old has logged 55 games of NHL experience with Edmonton, Philadelphia and Anaheim.
