Sixers release radio schedule

PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia 76ers announced their radio broadcast schedule for the 2011-12 season, with SportsRadio 94 WIP airing 64 regular season games while the remaining two games will be carried by 610 WIP.  Veteran broadcaster Tom McGinnis will return for his 17th season as voice of the Sixers Radio Network.

This marks the Sixers first season utilizing SportsRadio WIP’s new 94.1 FM signal which was established on September 6, 2011.  In addition to its regular season coverage, SportsRadio 94 WIP will air both of the Sixers preseason games vs. Washington on December 16 at Verizon Center and December 20 at Wells Fargo Center.

The two regular season games slated to air on 610 WIP are February 21 at Memphis and April 3 at Miami.

McGinnis has become one of the most recognizable radio personalities in sports today.  While handling all of the play-by-play duties on-air, he also serves as the 76ers Director of Radio Broadcasting and is a team spokesman at numerous community events.
