Conlin sex abuse story about to break

Deadspin is reporting that the Philadelphia Inquirer's top investigative reporter, Nancy Phillips, has written a story containing allegations of child molestation against sportswriter Bill Conlin, a longtime columnist at the rival Daily News.

Conlin, who turns 78 this year, resigned today and has hired an attorney to refute the piece.

It is just disturbing that there are people that may take advantage of our children's innocence and sexually abuse them. I hope this will serve as a lesson for the parents to be extra vigilant about their children's safety.
