CSN announces Flyers preseason coverage

Philadelphia, PA (September 15, 2010) – Comcast SportsNet, the home of the  Philadelphia Flyers, has complete coverage of the Flyers Training camp  including preseason games, a live taping of Meet the Flyers and extensive  on-air and online coverage.

Comcast SportsNet’s news team, including new Flyers beat reporter Lisa  Hillary, will have extensive daily coverage of Flyers Training Camp in the  network’s signature news programs, “SportsNite.”  In addition Flyers’  players, coaches and front office personnel will join “Daily News Live” to  discuss the latest news on the team as they look to return to the Stanley  Cup Finals. CSNPhilly.com has additional Flyers coverage with daily articles from Flyers Insider Tim Panaccio, plus photo galleries and daily  videos interviews with players and coaches.

Meet The Flyers

“Meet The Flyers,” presented by Virtua, is a one-hour television special on  Comcast SportsNet that offers fans a sneak preview of the upcoming season  and allows fans to get to know the Philadelphia Flyers.  The show will be  taped in front of a live studio audience on Sunday, September 19th at 2  p.m. at the Virtua Center Flyers Skate Zone in Voorhees, NJ.  Registration  will begin at 9 a.m. Seating is limited and will begin at 1:30 p.m.

“Meet The Flyers,” will be hosted by Comcast SportsNet’s Gregg Murphy and  Keith Jones, along with Steve Coates and Lisa Hillary.  The entire Flyers team will appear live including: Chris Pronger, Mike Richards, Jeff Carter,  Danny Briere, Kimmo Timonen, Claude Giroux, Scott Hartnell, Dan Carcillo, 
Ian Laperriere, Ville Leino, James Van Riemsdyk, Michael Leighton and Brian  Boucher.

Comcast-Spectacor Chairman Ed Snider, Comcast-Spectacor President Peter Luukko, Flyers General Manager Paul Holmgren, and Head Coach Peter Laviolette will also be part of the program.

“Meet The Flyers” will debut on Comcast SportsNet on Thursday, September 23 at 9 p.m.

Comcast SportsNet and The Comcast Network will air three Flyers preseason games in high definition.  The schedule is below:

Tuesday, September 21 at 7 p.m.: Flyers vs. Devils on The Comcast Network

Wednesday, September 29 at 7 p.m.: Flyers vs. Islanders on The Comcast  Network

Friday, October 1 at 7 p.m.: Flyers vs. Sabres on Comcast SportsNet
