The Sixers met with two more coaching candidates today in Phoenix, Portland Trail Blazers Assistant Coach Monty Williams and Suns Assistant Coach Dan Majerle.
"Monty has proven to be a valuable asset on the bench in Portland," team President Ed Stefanski said. "He has a wealth of experience both as an assistant coach and as a player in this league."
"Dan has been integral to the success of the Suns on both ends of the court this season," Stefanski said. "He has played for some of the best coaches in the history of the league and his approach to coaching is the same approach that made him so successful as a player - hard work, dedication and a team-first philosophy.
"We appreciate the opportunity we had to speak with both Monty and Dan today regarding our head coaching position."
