Clausen walking into lose-lose situation

Jesus may not score a touchdown Saturday afternoon in Beaver Stadium. Rather, the Golden Domers may be helping touted freshman quarterback Jimmy Clausen up off the grass.

Irish head coach Charlie Weis, the self professed offensive genius, managed over an anemic scoring machine in a 33-3 defeat to Georgia Tech last Saturday. With a former linebacker at running back (Travis Thomas), three quarterbacks with little to no game experience and a front five that yielded a staggering nine sacks, Notre Dame's offense looked ill-prepared and out of sync.

The defense didn't fare much better, shredded by Tashard Choice's 196 yards galloping around the high grass at God's Palace. Notre Dame fans may want to say their Hail Marys before this Saturday's 6 p.m. kickoff. More >>

Yea Wies has been horrible for ND. Two BCS games in two years. He is ruining that program. Hopefully one day he can get the Irish back to national significance.

BTW when was the last time anyone cared about Penn State?
