Eagles defensive tackle Mike Patterson plans to play in the Eagles preseason game Thursday vs the Cleveland Browns, just three weeks after he collapsed at training camp.
Initial speculation pointed to Patterson missing the season after a diagnosis of Arteriovenous Malformation of the brain, an abnormal connection between the arteries and veins.
"While the exact results of Patterson’s many medical tests are unavailable, it is apparent that he has been cleared by his neurologist and other physicians and is ready to get back on the field," his agent J.R. Rickert said. "We can’t wait to see Mike out there playing for the team and city that is so close to his heart."
