No more Holidays for Sixers

PHILADELPHIA - The Sixers have waived Justin Holiday, the older brother of Jrue Holiday, on Wednesday.

The move was precipated by a $50,000 guarantee for next season Holiday would have gotten if he remained on the roster on August 15.

Holiday played in just nine games last season, averaging 4.7 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 15.8 minutes per game.

Jrue Holiday, of course, was traded on draft night from the Sixers to New Orleans for the rights to Nerlens Noel.
