The nine-year-old granddaughter of former Phillies manager Dallas Green was killed in Saturday's senseless shooting at a political event, according to the Arizona Star.
Christina-Taylor Green died during Democratic Congresswoman's Gabrielle Giffords appearance at a supermarket in Tucson when a gunman rushed at Giffords, shooting a total of 19 people, including Gifford. Six have died and Giffords suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
Green's father, John, is currently a scout for the Dodgers while Dallas Green is a special advisor for the Phillies.
