There are two new members of the Hall of Fame, and Mark McGwire isn't one of them.
Cal Ripken Jr. and Tony Gwynn easily made it on their respective first tries, each of them receiving the nod from over 97 percent of the voting panel.
McGwire, though, appeared on just 128 of the 545 ballots despite his monster power numbers. This is a big statement from the baseball writers, who apparently will be grading steroid-era players on a very large curve.

Wow, some people need to grow up. I'll respond to the actual post. I don't believe McGwire deserves to be even on the ballot. I also read of at least one writer who left his ballot blank in protest of the Steriod Era. He wasn't saying Ripken and Gwynn used steriods, but that who knows who put what their body. It was an interesting take.
