Live Feed of Bill Cowher press conference

It's not everyday a Hall of Fame coach leaves the NFL, especially one linked to the same franchise for 15 seasons. While we focus on Philadelphia sports, The Phanatic's motto has always been to cover the major national events with just as much emphasis as a Flyers three-game win streak.

That's why two columns about Cowher's impending retirement -- only 30 minutes away -- have donned the site in the last 15 hours. It's major news, whether you call Big Ben the next Montana or think the Stillers are what's wrong with the NFL.

If Brett Favre retires tomorrow, which would stink because it's supposed to be 60 degrees tomorrow and I want to play golf, The Phanatic would have the same coverage.

We are Philly-centric, but we don't wear blinders. It's a monumental day in the NFL, and for those at work counting the ticks to 5 p.m., we feel your pain.

You can watch Bill Cowher's press conference live on The Phanatic, courtesy of our friends at Pittsburghlive.com. Just click on the link within our link.

Enjoy the seasonable temperatures this weekend, but make sure to tune into The Phanatic for any late-breaking news and insight on the Eagles-Giants game this Sunday.
