PHILADELPHIA - Saint Joseph's men's basketball coach Phil Martelli has announced that three student-athletes - Isaiah Miles, Kyle Molock and Javon Baumann - have signed National Letters of Intent during the early signing period. All three will attend the University beginning in the Fall of 2012.
"This class of Kyle, Isaiah, and Javon brings to Saint Joseph's quality young men from great families," said Martelli. "They are young guys, who are excited about representing the Hawks on and off the court, and who will keep the staff motivated and excited. Their basketball skills will enhance the abilities of our present players. I believe that each of these guys will have a positive impact on our program."
Miles, a 6-7 forward from Owings Mill, Md., averaged 18 points and 13 rebounds as a junior at Glenelg High School. He earned Baltimore All-Metro First Team honors and was named to the All-Howard County Team. Miles will be attending Milford Mill High School this season, which is the defending state champion.
Molock is a 6-2 point guard from Dublin, Ohio, and Dublin Coffman High School. He missed his junior season with a knee injury, but had averaged 14 points as a sophomore and was ranked as Ohio's best point guard in the Class of 2012.
Baumann is a 6-8, 245-pound center/forward from Solms, Germany. He currently attends the Theodore Huess School in Wetzlar, Germany. Baumann will be the Hawks' first international player since 2007 graduate Artur Surov.
