Philadelphia Union forward Alejandro Moreno will be joining the Venezuelan National Team today, as the club prepares to play Bolivia in Santa Cruz (Bolivia) on October 7 and Mexico in Ciudad Juarez (Mexico) on October 12.
Moreno will miss the Union's game vs. the LA Galaxy on Thursday but will return on October 14 and be eligible to play in the Union's final home match against the New York Red Bulls on Saturday, October 16.
Since debuting with the Venezuelan National Team in 2004, Moreno has represented his country on 25 occasions, scoring two goals. Prior to this stint, the 31-year-old played for his home country during a 3-1 loss to Panama on August 11. The striker came on in the 68th minute for Chivas USA striker Giancarlo Maldonado.
