The Phillies have finalized their 25-man roster for their National League Division Series against the Cincinnati Reds.
Manager Charlie Manuel decided to go with infielder Greg Dobbs and outfielder Domonic Brown to round out the bench, and included left-hander Antonio Bastardo in the bullpen. Left off were pitchers Danys Baez, David Herndon and Kyle Kendrick, though they will travel with the club.
The Phillies' roster includes 15 position players: catchers Carlos Ruiz and Brian Schneider; infielders Ryan Howard, Placido Polanco, Jimmy Rollins, Mike Sweeney, Chase Utley, Wilson Valdez and Dobbs; outfielders Ben Francisco, Ross Gload, Raul Ibanez, Shane Victorino, Jayson Werth and Brown. The 10 pitchers on the roster are left-handers Cole Hamels, J.C. Romero and Bastardo; and right-handers Joe Blanton, Jose Contreras, Chad Durbin, Roy Halladay, Brad Lidge, Ryan Madson and Roy Oswalt.
Game 1 is scheduled for Wednesday at Citizens Bank Park, with Halladay set to start against the Reds' Edinson Volquez. Philadelphia will use Oswalt in Game 2 and Hamels in Game 3.
