Soul bring back Summer Slam

PHILADELPHIA (The Phanatic Magazine) – The Philadelphia Soul will be down at the shore on Saturday, August 18 to host the Seventh Annual Summer Slam in Wildwood, NJ.  The event will take place on Schellenger Avenue and the beach from noon to 4 p.m., with the flag football tournament starting at 10 a.m. and running through completion with the net proceeds from Summer Slam to benefit “Lunch with Lynch”, a Wildwood-based charity.

“We’re excited to bring Summer Slam back to Wildwood for our sixth year,” said Soul VP/COO John Adams.  “This is a unique experience for fans to interact with players and the organization, and we hope to see all of the Soul fans on the beach on August 18th.”

“We are proud to welcome the Philadelphia Soul organization and players to Wildwood,” said Founder of the “Lunch with Lynch” Foundation, John Lynch. “Wildwood is a great place for families and the Soul is a great source of family-friendly entertainment, so it is a perfect combination.”

Summer Slam will feature live bands, food vendors, and a silent auction table with autographed items from our team, owner Ron Jaworski and other Philadelphia sports teams.  Kids can enjoy inflatable rides and games.

This is a great opportunity for Soul fans to mingle with Soul players, coaches and Soulmates.  The Soul will also be holding a Merchandise Blowout Sale for fans to bring home their favorite Soul gear.

A men’s 7-on-7 and a co-ed 8-on-8 flag football tournament will begin at 10 a.m. on the beach.  To register your team now, go to www.playphillysports.com.

Fans are invited to continue the celebration with players and Soulmates at the post event party at the Boardwalk Bar and Grill (3500 Atlantic Ave) from 4-6 p.m.  Food and drink specials will be available.
