Eagles bring back DT Landri

The Eagles have re-signed defensive tackle Derek Landri to a one-year contract.

The undersized Landri played in 12 games with the Eagles in 2011 and recorded 43 tackles and two sacks. He also blocked a field goal and led the team with eight tackles for a loss. Prior to signing with the Eagles, Landri started 16 games with the Carolina Panthers in 2010 and set career highs with 63 tackles and three sacks.

Now entering his sixth NFL season, the 28-year-old Landri has played in 63 games and registered 158 tackles and eight sacks in his career. He was originally a fifth-round draft choice of Jacksonville in 2007 and spent his first three seasons with the Jaguars. A Native of Concord, CA, Landri played collegiately at Notre Dame.
