Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren revealed early Friday evening that defenseman Matt Walker has been assigned to Adirondack of the American Hockey League on a conditioning stint.
After coming over in July from Tampa Bay in a deal which saw Simon Gagne's exit, Walker has yet to play a game with the club. He is currently on the way back from hip surgery performed in October.
Philly is back in action on Saturday in Boston.
